Meet Our Teachers!
Miss Catherine Achenbach
Elementary General Music/Chorus
Catherine Achenbach teaches general music at Harding, Southeast, and Southwest Elementary. She also directs the 4th and 5th grade choruses at Harding Elementary. She began her time at the Lebanon School District in the fall of 2020, after graduating from Lebanon Valley College earlier that spring. While at LVC, she obtained her Bachelor degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance and participated in Marching Band, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Clarinet Choir. Ms. Achenbach is originally from Cleona, PA and moved right down the road to Palmyra to live with her fiancé and puppy, Pumpkin. She has previously served as the vocal director for 2 musicals at Cedar Crest Middle School and co-choreographed a show at the Lebanon Community Theater. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and going to see musicals. She looks forward to making music with her students and continuing to get to know the wonderful community within the Lebanon School District.

Elementary Orchestra
Kristin Chinnici is the Elementary Orchestra Director at Harding, Henry Houck, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest Elementary Schools, as well as the Handbell Director at Henry Houck Elementary School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Delaware. While in school, she studied classical flute, baroque flute, and piccolo performance extensively. Currently, Miss Chinnici is pursuing her master’s degree in music education from the University of Michigan. Her scholarly interests include: learning disabilities in the music classroom, string education, and urban music education.
Miss Chinnici has performed with the Reading Buccaneer Drum Corps, Keystone Band of Rehrersburg, Lebanon Community Concert Band, and the Lebanon Choral Society.
When Miss Chinnici is not working in the classroom, teaching private lessons, or working on her master’s degree, she enjoys volunteering at the humane society and baking for her family and friends.

Mrs. Kafferlin began teaching at Lebanon Middle School in December of 2012 and transferred to elementary music at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. She graduated from Mansfield University in 2012 with a degree in Music Education. In 2017, Mrs, Kafferlin also earned a master’s degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University Mrs. Kafferlin is originally from Harrisburg, PA but lives in Myerstown with her husband, Brad, daughter , Ella and and her puppy, Phoebe. In her free time, Mrs. Kafferlin enjoys singing on the worship team at LCBC Lebanon, traveling, and spending time with family. She loves teaching in Lebanon looks forward to enhancing student’s lives through music in the years to come.
